S'mores Book Club

Do you devour a book like a great after-school snack? If so, sign up for the S’mores Book Club! We will eat a snack and talk about a different topic each month. Registration required. 

Family Fun: Exploring Color
Thursday, December 28, 2–4 p.m.

Discover the world of color beyond crayons Enjoy crafts, activities and fun for the whole family. Drop in. 

Preschool Activity Time
Friday, December 29, 10–11 a.m.

Enjoy a playground filled with games, blocks, a parachute and more. Drop in. 

Build It!
Friday, December 29, 2–4 p.m.
Ages 2–5 with an adult for DUPLO; Grades K–5, K with an adult, for LEGO

Use DUPLO and LEGO blocks to build fantastic structures or whatever you want. Drop in.

Happy Noon Year
Saturday, December 30, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Celebrate the New Year with stories, music and more including a countdown complete with party favors and noise makers. Drop in.

Winter Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Tuesday, January 2, 3 p.m. (Sleepover)
Wednesday, January 3, 10 a.m. (Snack Time)
Ages 4–7 with stuffed toy and an adult

After the children say, "Goodbye," their stuffies go on wild escapades overnight at the library. All is revealed when they are reunited the next morning at snack time. Registration required. 

Storytime at the Museum
Wednesday, January 3, 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Spark your imagination with stories, songs, fun and a take-home craft. After storytime, stick around to explore the museum and learn more about our village. Drop in.

Panera Bread Milk and Cookies Storytime

Enjoy free milk and a cookie while we read a story and play with puppets, music and movement. Registration required. 

Cardinal in the Snow: A Family Painting Workshop
Thursday, January 4, 1 p.m.
Ages 5–11 with an adult

Paint a wintry scene together under the guidance of artist Christine Thornton. Bring Illinois' state bird to life using various watercolor pencil techniques. Registration required. 

Arts and Fables

Family Movie: The Wizard of Oz

The Many-Colored Library Adventure ends over the rainbow with an interactive showing of this beloved classic. Come in costume for added fun. Drop in.
